Involvement in sport and the development of student sporting skills form a vital part of the curriculum.  Thursday afternoons are currently set aside for whole-school sport (7-10) and may include activities such as swimming, cross-country, cricket, touch football, basketball, board riding, netball, squash, tennis, ten pin bowling, volleyball, gymnastics, softball, weight training, aerobics, soccer, rugby league and surfing. Sport at a representative level also offers considerable scope for students to participate and develop their skills.

Students have three levels of competition in swimming, cross-country, and athletics: school championships, diocesan championships, and inter-diocesan championships. In addition, opportunities are provided to gain selection in representative squads in netball, rugby league, hockey, golf, basketball, soccer, touch football, and inter-school chess. Participation in sport is encouraged and recognised as a key element in a student’s overall development.
